More fudge!

So after making that last batch of fudge last week I found out that my dad and boyfriend don't like fudge because they think it is just too sweet. So I started wondering if I could alter the recipe some and make fudge they would eat. So instead of 3 cups of sugar and semi-sweet chocolate I used 2 cups of sugar and unsweetened chocolate. Annnnnnd...

It worked! It's a bit darker, still pretty rich, but really really good. A few friends of mine couldn't get enough of it tonight and that made me really happy. I'm going to take some to work and test it on them next. I put peppermint on half again cause my mom said she loved that part, but no pictures. It looks the same as before so I didn't really see a point. Yay for Christmas Fudge!

It's been awhile...

I swear I'm going to try to update this thing more. Seriously, I've been trying to decide what to update with. I've been home with a cold for a few days and today I was feeling so much better but cursed with cabin fever so I decided to make some fudge! But I wanted to make a little more Christmas-y so I added crushed peppermint to about half. I only tried a little bite and I think it's good, but I'll be taking it over to my boyfriends house to test the fudge on him and his mom and Grandma. hehe. So here's a few photos.

I officially want to jump into the tin and eat them all now. YUM!

And one silly photo to go on! Sebastian wondering why I'm in his face.

Holidays are done...

The granny square blanket I made for mom turned out awesome. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture in my excitement to wrap it and get it to her. I finished it 2 days before Christmas. lol. Shew!!! My hands have been hurting, and the cramp up often. Getting better though. Everyone loved their scarves too. And my friend Becky made one for me and my boyfriend. Both are AWESOME. I wore mine today.

In a little bit, I'm going to start a new sock with a new sock yarn I picked up for $2.00 at Michael's. (I ended up buying 4 skeins in different colors that night. hehe.) Never seen sock yarn for that cheap!!! But I joined some groups on Ravelry that talk about all the different sock yarns and apparently it's not as rare as I thought! So that's exciting.

I'm also working on a roll up knitting needle holder, complete with sewn numbers for my DPNs so I don't have to keep them in their box to remember what's what. Sadly, I got a step ahead of myself last night and didn't make the pockets before I sewed the front and inside closed. Sooo...the lines for the pockets are going to show on the outside. I've made a note of it though, so when I made the case for my crochet hooks it WONT be like that. lol. Both have to do with cows.

I have some fabric to make Patty one, but I figured I'd make mine first, that way all the messups are on mine and I can finalize it for hers. I'm not using a pattern, I just sorta dreamed this up, which is exciting for me cause I still feel new to sewing. Sorry I have no pictures right now! Next time, I promise!

Random update!!

This is my puppy Sebastian When he was just brand new. The top photo was at 6 weeks old and that's a cat toy he has. How CUTE! Now he's about 6 months old, 30 pounds or so, and soooo much fun. He's the sweetest. (For the most part) And he knows how to sit, lay, and shake. We're slowly learning other things. Isn't he precious! Two toys at once! That's my boy.

I don't know how, but I always get funny, funny photos of the pup. Like licking his nose randomly. One time I caught him mid sneeze.
